the reveal (warning: not ai)
I have a problem. I want to be better than everyone but also be humbler than everyone.
It’s quite the paradox.
I have another problem. I want to be able to tolerate discomfort but I actively seek comfort… that’s not correct. I actively seek distraction and/or avoidance.

I wrote the above then posted a blog I drafted last week. It had/has some more revealing info about my financial situation and background, and thoughts on race and class and stuff that I find very interesting but hard to talk about.
I took some stuff out but kept most stuff in.
The language is a bit… coarse? Blunt? Yeah, something like that.
I was feeling flippant at the time.
Anyways, I posted it.
———
I also posted two things with ai involved.
I’ve got the picture that ai posts are not really welcome but I warned the reader and I think the post was interesting.
I used the download blog feature that bear has. It allows you to download your entire blog in .csv or .md files. I have been using an ai agent harness call Hermes since that election I ran for earlier in the year (see: Show HN: I am running as an independent MP in Toronto). It has many months of context from my life.
It probably is not the safest thing in the world to be giving so much of my personal life to this thing but…
No risk, no reward.
Anyways, ai agents can read .md files easily, so I gave it my entire blog and asked it to tell me some things I didn’t know about myself.
It cut deep. It gave me things I think I knew about myself but maybe didn’t have the vocabulary to describe.
It felt powerful. It connected, you know?
Maybe you do. Maybe you don’t.
I was hesitant to share at first because it is revealing… (revealing… that word I’ve used a lot in this post and the past few. Huh.) but thought it was worth sharing for you the reader… who is probably some ai agent scraping this webpage to report back to your overlord… or maybe a human… who knows these days?
Maybe you find it interesting like I did or maybe you think it’s ai slop.
It’s your world, I’m just living in it.
Have a good day.
Remember to live and not just survive.
