My laptop notes and my iPhone notes are not syncing. That is annoying.
I am awake. I slept in again this morning. Until 11ish. I woke up in a panic because I thought it was Thursday. Thursday, tomorrow, I fly to Halifax in the morning.
I was grateful it was not Thursday.
I got packed up this evening. I went for an hour or so bike ride this afternoon.
I had a protein smoothie after. It tasted good. Didn’t add too much of this sour yogurt stuff I got from Costco this time.
I am the one responsible for picking my friend up and taking us to the airport.
Tonight I have been working on some AI agent stuff. I have been working on getting Hermes to run Claude, Codex, and now I am seeing if I can get Hermes to run Ollama.
Progress has been… slow.

Well it works but it is very slow. I was using Claude Opus 4.8 with the Hermes harness and talking to it through discord but that’s stopped working. Anthropic has disallowed that. Annoying.

It’s annoying they pulled Fable back. The AI stuff is cool but I want my own B300s to run my own models and not have to deal with rate limits and changing terms of service.
It’s not really me, it’s my friend. He set most of this up for me and showed me the ways of the computer. I am more of a jock build. Or a warrior or paladin build we like to joke. He is a wizard build.
This shit is like magic.

Tomorrow is supposed to be a swim.
I think it would be cool if there was a tech company (or companies) that made hardware that wasn’t backdoorable by any government.
Like I think the founding fathers or whatever would be amazed at what the world looks like but would not be so stoked on how much access to the personal lives of every citizen the government has.
I guess that’s more American but still. Classic liberalism would be cool to return to. Or did that ever really exist? Starting to think all of history is different colours of make-believe.
Anyways, I know I am not stoked on it.
I don’t know why I get so hung up on that; but I do.
But I don’t think it’s possible at this moment in time. And that makes me… sad? mad? Both?
Demoralized I guess.
Like they keep nerfing stuff to maintain the status quo.
Not many people like the status quo you know?
I guess I got to just keep building stuff that I want to see in the world. And what is that?
