Coming undone.
Family. Crying. All good. All bad.
Glue. Tape. Cracks. Don’t look over there.
A warm smile hides all the pain.
A silence. A lull.
Did you hear about the fire in Switzerland?
Oh no.
Oh well.
Anger. Ignore it. Frustration and sadness. Deplore it.
Just don’t think about that. Just think happy thoughts. Just this. Just that.

I did this today, then that.
Talked to so and so. Heard this and that.
Trees get bigger when they’re not cut down. Kids get older. Dogs die. Things in the house start to break. Body aches.
